Law on ambient air quality

Target values

The target values are not as strict as the limit values. The aim is that with the use of best available technologies and other cost-effective methods the target values will be attained where possible. The target value has been set for example for ozone concentrations to which significant contributor is the transboundary pollution which cannot be reduced only by national measures.
