Kavadarci

KAVADARCI

Kavadarci is a small city in the south-eastern part of the country. Kavadarci station is located next to an intersection of two main roads in the outskirts of the city. There is a lot of heavy traffic and tractors passing through the crossroad. Kavadarci is located in a wine production area and the nearest point emission source 500 m away from the station is the Tikves winery. The major emission source in Kavadarci is FeNi Industry consisting of mine and iron and nickel smelting plant. The plant is located 5 km west of the Kavadarci station, but it is located on the other side of the mountain which reduces the dispersion of pollutants to the measurement the station.

Measured components are: O₃, NO₂, SO₂, CO and PM₁₀.
